The website brought back memories. Thanks!
My father was Lt. Rodney G, Lund.We lived there from 1977-1980.Dad died two years ago, in a car wreck.
Was in the canal Zone in 1965 and 66. We got spoiled for the real Navy.
Was stationed at Farfan from 4-61 to 4-63. Had so many good experiences (and an occasional bad experience), I'd have to write a book to do justice to my tour at Farfan. Go Buckeyes!
Great site. I was a naval communicator, years 1951 - 1987, from RMSA to CWO4. NavCommStas Norfolk, San Diego, Keflavik, Phillipines, NavRadSta Ft Allen PR, and seven different ships. Also NAS Barbers Point and Jacksonville, and ComOceanSysLant Norfolk.
I was particularly happy to see the new boat built with steel from the Twin Towers. I'm from New York and watched them build those buildings. Thanks.
It was great to see some of the photos. I was assigned to the message center and lived at Farfan 1966-1968.
