Stationed at Farfan 1964-1965 and I remember wrecking my motorcycle, fishing with Ed Hunsader, visiting the sites on Calle K, and having a hell of a great time doing it.
I was at FarFan Receiver site from 1966 until 1969. I was an RM1 and advanced to RMC just prior to my departure in August of 1969. Along with Ted Webb, an RM1 at the time, we operated the Amateur Radio station at Farfan (KZ5FF), running phone patches in our spare time. There were other hams, but can't remember their names. Some of the names that come to mind are Whiting, Anton, Venable, Endee (an ET2 I believe) also Shively. Hope to see some of the old gang at the upcoming Re-union.
I was at Farfan from November 1966 thru December 1968. Like everyone else thaught it was a great place. I never saw Navy chow that good anywhere else. Now live in Dumas, Texas.
I WAS AT FARFAN 1967 AND 1968...RM3...
Had a great time in Panama, Made Friends of a Lifetime, Even if they were ET's and SeaBees. Norm

I need to make one correction to my comments. I was at Farfan from 65 to 68.
