FARFAN REUNION NEW ORLEANS 2009
Reunion 2009 was another great success. Attendees: Mark and Beth Anton, Vic and Chris Behan, Bob and Ruthann Cobb, Jerry and Sandy Mader, Dick Murphy and Vicky Love. The reunion was held at the Pelham hotel, walking distance to Bourbon Street and Harrahs Casino. A “Hurricane Katrina Motorcoach Tour“ was taken by everyone in the group, and the consensus was it was a fine tour. We also did the Steamboat Natchez cruise on the Mississippi River. We were pleasantly surprised when Murphy and Vicky generously offered a bottle of Ron Cortez for each couple. WooHoo! -Vic-
Marie aka Sandy and I had a wonderful time meeting the guys and the gals in New Orleans. It was almost as wonderful as receiving the bottle of Ron Cortez from Murphy [he is now my newest idol]. The days [damn fine bloody mary's served at the hotel bar each AM helped get my days started] and nights were filled with reliving some of the Farfan memories and am looking forward to the next reunion. It only took about 3 days until I was fully recovered.

"Men of Farfan, I have to tell you these reunions are the best. Best of friends, best of cities, best of Ron Cortez, simply the best all the way around. Enjoyed seeing Murph, Vic, Bob and, newbie to the reunions, Jerry. And their ladies also! Had a great time telling sea stories, riding the Mississippi, touring the Katrina damaged city (still a mess, and what a bus driver!), eating great food and listening to great music (love that zydeco!).
