He was born May 25, 1943 in Piqua, Ohio, to the late Harold and Frances (Smith) Malone. He married Rebecca D. Jacobs December 21, 1969, and she survives.

Other survivors include three children, Scott Malone, Mike D. (fiance Jennifer Ruley) Malone Jr., Cari (fiance Brad Baker) Kaylor all of Piqua; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Hutchinson, Michael Malone III, Alyssa Malone, Austin Malone, Alexis Kaylor, Cianna Betts, Krystal Pritchett, Olyvia Malone, Zachary Snyder, Jacob Snyder, Kylie Malone; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn.

Mr. Malone was a 1961 graduate of Piqua Central High School and served in the United States Navy. He worked at B.F. Goodrich of Troy for forty-two years. He enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, card playing and being a collector of many items. He loved being with his family and many friends.

A memorial to honor his life was held Wednesday afternoon, August 22, 2018, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home where full military honors were provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad.
