With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dick Murphy in Lakeland, Florida, born in Tampa, Florida, who passed away on September 18, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his son Justin Murphy (Carol Comer) of Bartow; his sisters, Sue Carter of St. Petersburg and Chris Conner-Bernstein of Miami; his granddaughter Layla Murphy of Bartow; and his niece Melony Carter of St. Petersburg.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 21st 2023 at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830).

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 22nd 2023 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Dick worked for GTE.
